The Ratanpur Dhar  range drains water in the Ghamrola khad flows to Govind Sagar lake formed as a result of world's largest gravity dam Bakhara in Himachal Pradesh.

The unscientific construction in the catchment area, cattle grazing and other developmental activities are causing huge muck and silt in Govind Sagar thus have I'll effect on life of this important Dam. So there is necessity to carry out water shed treatment in catchment area.
