 Prang-La Pass :- 

The Prang-La Pass is a high mountain pass in the Zaskar high mountain range in Himachal Pradesh . 

The Prang-La Pass connects Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh with some parts of Ladakh

The Prang-La Pass is a high mountain pass situated at an altitude of 5580 metres above mean sea level .

The trek we follow to Prang La Pass is the ancient route which had been used for trade in the ancient times .

The trek to Prang La Pass traverses along the river Parilungbi  from Spiti side .

The famous mountain peaks in Zaskar mountain range in Himachal Pradesh are  , highest peak is Shilla having altitude of 7025 metres above mean sea level , Rivo Phagural  6791 metres above mean sea level and Shipki having altitude of 6608 metres above mean sea level .

The glaciers in the Zaskar mountain range feeds the river system , in Lahaul the river Chandra is watered   by Bara Shigri glacier which is 25 km long .

In district Kullu Dudhaon and Parvati  glacier 15 km long gives water to Parvati river .

The trek to this pass starts from Kibber village in Kaza sub division and follows  the ancient trade route between Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh and Chang Thung plains of Ladakh and Tibet .

Trekking route starts  from Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh , Kibber village then following Dumla ,Thaltak  , prangla base and crossing over Prang-La enters into high altitude plains of Chang Thung the extension of Tibetan plateau in Ladakh .

The Tso Moriri a high altitude mountain Lake at an  elevation of 4300 metres above mean sea level is a charm and feast to eyes in the trekking route . The lake is 27 km long and 8 km wide . 

One can enjoy the beauty of cold desert .
