Pin - Parvati Pass :-
Pin valley is situated in Spiti valley of district Lahaul Spiti and Parvati valley is in the jurisdiction of district Kullu in Himachal Pradesh .

The pin -Parvati pass was first crossed over in August 1884 by Sir Louis Dane as an alternate route to Spiti from Kullu .

Sir Louis Dane was posted in Punjab as an Assistant Commissioner in 1876 and later in 1879 he became private Secretary to Lieutenant Governor of Punjab .

The trek traverses from Barsheni then after 4 hours walk Kheerganga a beautiful place famous for hot water springs .

From Kheerganga the trek traverses towards Tunda Bhuj at an altitude of about 3322 metres above mean sea level then further traverses to Thakur Kuwan at an altitude of 3779.50 metres above mean sea level . Then trek goes to Ody Thatch and from ody Thatch to Mantalai which about 4115 metres above mean sea level . From Mantalai to Pin -Parvati pass.

The trek from Pin -Parvati pass traverses through Bedu Tanch then Tiya and finally reach Mudh village which is ending point of trek when journey is started from Parvati valley , if trekking is started from Spiti valley then Mudh village is starting point . Mudh to Kaza is about 11 km , the administrative headquarter of Spiti .
