 74 Republic Day   , India is Celebrating 74 th. Republic day .

"Freedom is not given , It is taken "

The historic day when "The Constitution of India came into force 26 th January 1950"

On 26 th November 1949 the constituent assembly adopted the Constitution of India. Then on 24 th January 1950 , 308 members of the constituent assembly under the Chairmanship of Dr. BR Ambedkar signed the two copies of" Constitution of India " Which after two days on 26th January 1950 came into force Thus India became independent republic with its own Constitution. The day is celebrated as a national festival. 

  " Salute to all those who sacrificed under tricolour National Flag for Independence of India."

The Indian National Congress, in its annual session held in December 1929 passed a resolution and declared "Puran Sawaraaj " and the day fixed was last Sunday of January 1930 , " The day was 26 th January . " 

So this day was chosen to enforce the Constitution of India and India became Independent Republic. Dr Rajendera Prashaad commenced as first President of India.

Himachal Pradesh "Statehood day 25 January 1971 "

 Himachal Pradesh became 18th  state of India on 25 January 1971 by an act of Parliament passed on 18 th December 1970.

The then , Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shrimati Indira Gandhi announced the statehood from historic Ridge medan in snow fall at the day, 25January 1971.Dr.Y S Parmar became first Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.

After independence in 1947 Himachal was created on 15 th April 1948 after merger of 30 hill states which were being ruled by Rajas and named " Himachal Pradesh " as province.

The name given to this province, Himachal Pradesh, the province is taken from Himalayas, " the province in the lap of snow covered Himalayas. "

In 1950 Himachal Pradesh was made sub state and was called C - state and in 1956 Himachal was made Union territory. On 1st November 1966 Vishal Himachal Pradesh was made by transferring the hilly areas of Punjab to Himachal and Haryana state and Chandigarh union territory were also carved on this day .

Thus on 25 January 1971, the state was given Statehood by the then Prime Minister smt. Indira Gandhi ,announcing from historic Ridge ground, when God was pouring snow at Shimla and Himachal Hills.

Mahakali Lake " beautiful lake in Churaha, district Chamba, Himachal Pradesh "

 Our mother land, this beautiful planet has its beauty because of its lush green forests, skyscraper mountains covered with snow, it's vast green Valleys, plains, crystal clear water flowing in its beautiful rivers, vast meadows with multicoloured flowers and lakes which are essential to exist life .

Today we shall come to know about Mahakali lake, it is situated in hills of Churaha in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The Mahakali lake is dedicated to Goddess Mahakali .

It is a high altitude lake situated at an altitude of, 4080 metres from mean sea level. The lake remains frozen for six months from November to April. The lake lies between Sano and Gudial. There is a temple of Mahakali also known as Khundi wali Mata, an Yatra known as Khundi Mata Yatra is held during  August and September and pilgrims offer  prayers to Kali Mata after taking bath in sacred lake. 

Bus service on this route is available from Chamba to Sahu about 16 km from Chamba . From Sahu to Kurtha village taxi service is available. The on foot trekking starts from Kurtha and it hill track up to the lake. Another route is from Chanju side. The people from the surrounding areas used to visit the holy lake during Khundi Mata Yatra. Beautiful lake one must visit.

Dal Lake " Beautiful Lake, Dharmshala, district Kangra Himachal Pradesh "

 " Dal Lake " a beautiful lake named on the name of Kashmir's famous Dal lake is situated in district Kangra at a distance of 11Km from Dharamshala in Tota Rani village in beautiful hills of Kangra , Himachal Pradesh.

The lake is situated at an altitude of 1775 metres from mean sea level in the middle of beautiful hills, Dal to Dariweshwar is built by Maharishi Augstya.. The lake has its immense beauty because of green tall Deodar trees around it. The lake lies between coordinates 32.2471 °N and 76. 3107 °E . There is a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva and goddess Mata Chintpurni.

A fair is held on Radhaashtmi on lake and pilgrims used to take bath in the sacred lake and offer their prayers to Lord Shiva and Maa Chintpurni. The place is very beautiful and peaceful.

This lake is also known as  "Bhagsunag " lake.  The lake is attractions for tourists. One must visit this beautiful place.

We call, earth as mother because every living creatures have taken birth on this beautiful planet  due it's environment suitable for life.

This fresh air in which we are nourishing is due to its beautiful green forests, and vegetation on this planet. We must take care of it to save our beautiful mother.

The beautiful forests and vegetation on this planet is because of its crystal clear water in the environment, in its beautiful rivers, lakes, underground aquifers and it's oceans. Let us maintain the quality of water in our surroundings. Make the water pollution free.

Water pollution can give birth to many diseases, so we must keep our water resources neat and clean. This beautiful planet our beloved mother has water to have life on earth, save it. 

This planet, our beautiful, beloved mother has power to flourish different types of food grains, varieties of fruits, vegetables  medicinal plants and other vegetation essential for life on it. Thus it provides food for us. So our planet, is our mother which is always nourishing the life on itself.

Suraj Tal " Lake of The God Sun in Lahaul -Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh "

 Suraj Tal is a beautiful high altitude lake, ranking third in India situated at an altitude of 4800 metres from mean sea level in Lahaul -Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh, the beautiful state of India.

The Suraj Tal is source of origin of Bhaga river, the lake is located just below and opposite  Baralacha with an area of about 392 hectares. The source of origin of Chandra river is Chandra tal, both the rivers Chandra and Bhaga meets at Tandi and then river is called Chandrabhaga in Himachal Pradesh and when Chandrabhaga enters in Jammu -Kashmir it is renamed as Chenav.

The lake is fed by glaciers and  some streams originating from Baralacha pass which is 8 km in length and is known as pass with cross roads on summit. The roads from Zanskar,Ladakh ,Spiti and Lahaul meet at this pass.The lake gets frozen during winter.

The connectivity to Suraj Tal leke is by road through National Highway No 21,Leh-Manali Highway. The distance of lake from Keylong, the district head quarters of Lahaul -Spiti is, 65 km. The lake is attractions for tourists from the country and abroad. During summer season the lake and valley looks very beautiful having wild flowers, grass and mountain flora in its vast meadows around the lake.

Chandra Tal " The lake of The Moon " in Lahul , district Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.

 A beautiful lake, the centre of attractions to tourists and trekkers of high altitudes, Chandra Tal also called the "Lake of the Moon " is situated in Central Lahaul  in district Lahaul-Spiti at an altitude of 4270 metres from mean sea level.

 The crystal clear water of the lake when shining in the light looks very beautiful. This lake is the source of river Chandra river beautifully situated on large meadow between a lower range and Kunzum range. 

The lake lies in a large depression crafted by glaciers. The lake remains completely frozen in winters.

The vast meadows on the banks of lake  are having varieties of beautiful wild flowers which add immensely to the natural beauty of the valley. The lake is about 1.5 km length and area about 192 hect. near Barlacha. This lake is also named Lohitya Sarover by  Chinese Pilgrim Hihen Tsang.

Nako Lake " Winter Frozen Lake at Village Nako district Kinnaur Himachal Pradesh."

 Nako Lake :-

The importance of lakes is realized that the lakes are important part of our eco -system, centres of attractions to tourists, source of drinking water supply, regulating the flow of rivers and  immense beauty of Nature. 

Today I shall introduce my friends with a very beautiful lake situated in pooh sub-division of Kinnaur district at village Nako, Known as " Nako Lake."

The lake is a high altitude lake about 125 metres long and 70 metres wide situated at an altitude of 3662 metre from mean sea level. There are four Boddh Temples near the lake, a foot impression also exists near the lake, it is believed that this is of Guru Padmsambhav. There is water fall nearby in which milky falling water looks very beautiful.

During winters the lake is frozen and people enjoy skating this beautiful lake. The distance of Nako lake is about 102 Km from Rekongpeo and that of about 39 Km from Pooh. Tourists used to visit this miracle of God on earth.

The health and happiness has a deep correlation, and we can say that :-

Health is directly proportional to happiness and vice -versa. If we further elaborate it then we can say that poor health can't contribute much towards happiness. It means that one can only be happy, if he has good health. 

So to have good health the environment around him must have nature friendly which may help him to relieve stress, which is the root cause of ill health. 

Walking in nature is one of major factor which may help  to feel good because waking in nature is help full in releasing the endorphins, the neurochemicals responsible for happiness.

The walk in nature provides neat and clean oxygen to us which when inhaled enhance the generation of Red blood cells in body thus  protect us from cancer and other diseases.

Stress Level Is Reduced :-  When due to heavy work loads we feel stress, then our efficiency is greatly reduced and also we are always on risk of bad effects on health. Speedy recovery from sickness :- When a sick person is discharged from hospital, he is advised to walk in nature in morning and evening, the results are seen astonishing, the recovery is very speedy.

Feel better & happy :- When we enjoy the nature walk the energy level is boosted, circulation of blood is improved due to awesome atmosphere hence we feel good and happy.
