An Overview of Himachal Pradesh district Lahaul Spiti , Himachal Pradesh - Part -I.
The Lahaul Spiti was previously two separate districts Lahaul with district headquarters at Kardang and Spiti with district headquarters at Dhankar . During 1960 Lahaul Spiti was made district with headphones at Keylong .
The western boundary of Lahaul Spiti is with Chamba district and in North it shares it's boundaries with zanskar and Ladhakh and China , the Tibet platue . Lahaul Spiti also shared boudries with Kinnaur , Kullu and Kangra districts .
The district has very beautiful landscapes and tourists around the world used to visit these panoramic landscapes .
The area of the Lahaul Spiti is 13833 square kilometres and the valley floor is 4270 metres above mean sea level . The administrative headquarter of district are Keylong and Kaza is also administrative headquarter of Spiti valley .
Economy of district Lahaul Spiti :-
The economy of the district mainly includes the income from agriculture and tourism . The per capita income of the district is Rs. 1,92,292/-.
The area under agriculture is about 3544 hectares and the forest cover is 158.85 square kilometres .
