The Talang pass lies between Kangra and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of about 4640 metres above mean sea level . The Talang pass is one of the highest and difficult passes in Dhauladhar range .
There are two lakes near this pass named Dali lake it is a small lake and the second one is Arjun ka Talab which forms the source of Bander Khad

The name of the pass is kept on the name of local god Talang whose abode is supposed to be at Top this pass . In the North West of this pass highest peak Gauri junda height 4946 metres exists and this pass serves as a base camp for trekkers . The Trek to this Pass starts from Chamunda near Dharamsha and end at Holi in district Chamba. From the pass panoramic views of Manimahesh and Dhauladhar mountains can be enjoyed .
