The brief history how Guru ka Lahore was Named :-

The son of Guru Teg Bahadur Govind Rai grown young and his betrothal was done with Jitto ji daughter of Bhai Hari Jas a resident of Lahore in the lifetime of Guru Teg Bahadur.
The marriage of young Govind Rai could not took place because of the elder Guru 's martyrdome  in November 1675 and the marriage was postponed.

Later in 1677 Bhai Hari Jas came to Chaak Nanki and propsed that Guru Govind Rai must come to Lahore with Baraat and  marry his daughter. Bhai Hari Jas agreed and a temporary camp  like Lahore was set up at this place, bride and her family with relatives came to this newly created Lahore and Baraat of Guru Govind Rai came to this place and marriage ceremony was performed at this place. From then this place is named as Guru Ka Lahore. Later on during 1960 -62 Gurudawara was constructed at this place and every year Nagar-kirtan is performed to celebrate the event of Guru Govind Singh 's marriage from Anandpur Sahib to Guru ka Lahore.
