The Shinghor pass lies in Dhauladhar range approached beyond Dharamsha and is existing at an elevation of about 4310 metres above mean sea level . The route is very tough and steep and having no water . The trekkers always avoid this route because of the abrupt changes in the weather . According to the local inhabitants the weather conditions on this pass are very much unpredictable as the clouds appear suddenly and the winds blow with heavy velocity and thunders , the temperature suddenly falls . Due to such weather conditions the situation some time becomes fatal . Trekkers always avoid this route bing killer environment .
Dhauladhar range from Dharamsha
This pass lies in the Dhauladhar range and is commonly used by local gaddid with their flocks of goats and sheep during summer and autumn when they take them for grazing up to Manimahesh and Lahaul -Spiti . These people cross this pass with their livestock twice a year when they go and come back to their homes .
Shinghor Pass
This pass is only crossable by men and goats and mules can not cross this pass .
