The Pabbar Valley, "the beautiful landscapes along the Pabbar river in Himachal Pradesh."

 The beautiful landscapes of Pabbar river which is originated from Chandarnahan lake, glacier and springs from the surface in Chansal mountain range forms the Pabbar valley near the boarder of Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh in Rohru area of district Shimla. This valley is also known as Rohru Valley.

When we start journey from Shimla then road bifurcates  from Theog about 32 Km from Shimla towards Jubbal  on Theog Hatkoti Rohru road,after reaching Jubbal  then reach Rohru. From Rohru we enter the beautiful landscapes of Pabbar valley. The Jubbal is about 60 Km from Theog and Rohru is about 25 Km from Jubbal.  This valley is less explored for tourism because of poor road facility but now Government of Himachal Pradesh is doing well in developing  road infrastructure in the state including this area also so there is a lot of  potential in tourism sector in this valley. 

The Pabbar valley starts from Hatkoti and extends up to Tikri in the lap of Chansal mountain range. The valley has many small khads in this valley and are flowing in zig- zag form at numbers of locations, the major khads are Andhra, Penjore Shhikri.

The panoramic  meadows with ample natural flowers , green grass  and grazing animals are worth seeing. The thick forests of blue pine in lower reaches  and silver-fir at higher altitude adds to the beauty of the valley. The apple orchards in the valley have added to the economy of the area.

The agriculture in the valley has major crops maize, barley, pulses, rice, wheat  , potatoes and Millets. Horticulture development programs have also encouraged by the Government in recent years. The Pabbar is also has  Trout fish activities.  Fishing and angling is one favorite activity in the pabbar valley, Mr. Glover a British Chief Conservators of  forests had introduced  the Trout fishing in Pabbar river during 1938-39 . 

The people of the valley are  beautiful, simple and hard working. The trecking activities to the valley  and Chansal mountains is there for trekkers and nature lovers.  The trekking adventures can be best enjoyed on the Gadsari -Saru trek which starts from Gadsari and ends at Saru lake at an altitude of about 3616.50 metres from mean sea level. The another trek is from Janglik -Chandarnahan which ends at Chandarnahan lake about 4000 metres from mean sea level. The third challenging trek is Rupin Pass trek which starts from Dhaula and end at a water fall at an altitude of 4619 metres from mean sea level  . The very pleasant trek from Rohru - Buran Ghati pass which starts from Rohru and ends at an altitude of 4578 metres  also there is on another trek named Kharapathar -Giri -Ganga  trek. Trekking teams enjoy these treks and enjoy the nature in this valley.

Kiarda -dun Valley also famous as Paonta Valley

 Kiarda-dun valley is also called Paonta valley  as the Paonta Shaib a beautiful town is situated in this valley. The river Yamuna separates this valley from Dehradun. This valley is situated in Markanda and Dharti  mountain ranges on the South Eastern corner of the state. The Paonta Shaib town is located on the bank of Yamuna river. A world famous Gurudwara Paonta Shaib is located in this town.

Most of this valley is plain which lies within Cis-Giri division  and  a small portion across the Giri lies inti trans-Giri division. The valley is  very  fertile and irrigated by waters of Bata and Giri rivers.

The main crops in the valley are Wheat, maize, sugarcane, ginger and millets. 

The valley is very beautiful and has lot of potential for tourism.

The Beautiful Kullu Valley

 The Valley formed by river Beas between Mandi and Larji  has panoramic landscapes covered with Deodar ,Pine thick forests and apple orchards  is  famous as Kullu Valley as it comes in district Kullu Himachal Pradesh.

The Kullu valley lies between the Pir-Panjal, lower Himalayan and great Himalayan ranges.

The valley is about 75 Km long and extends up to Rohtang pass which is about 25 Km North of Manali.  The people of Kullu are basically farmers but now also involved in tourism and handloom industry.

The road ahead of Mandi to Kullu Manali leads along the river Beas named Chandigarh Mandi Manali National Highway. The climate of Kullu is very Charming, Valley also experiences snow fall.

The valley is very beautiful and tourists from all over India and abroad used to visit this valley.

The Kangra Valley, " The beautiful valley expanding between Dhauladhar range in North and Shivalik hills in South. "

 The Kangra valley is a very beautiful valley with numbers of tourist destinations like Baijnath, Bir-Biling, Palampur, Dharamshala, Nurpur, Panchrukhi, and Kangra. The valley has many famous temples where lacs of Pilgrims used to visit through out the year. The famous Shakti Peeth Jawala ji, ancient Lord Shiva temple at Baijnath  , Chamunda mata temple and Brajeshwari temple Kangra are major attractions for tourists.

The Shri Jawala Mata temple is 11Km from Dehra-Gopipur  , 40 Km from Hamirpur and 51 Km from Kangra.

It is about 45 Km from Kangra and about 92 Km from Mandi Himachal Pradesh. Tourists used to visit these places  from various parts of India and abroad. 

This valley extends between Dhauladhar range in North and the Shivalik hills in South, from West to East it has gradual rise slopes from Shahpur to Palampur  and Baijnath. The valley has many panoramic landscapes which attract the tourists potential in the valley.

The Shobha Singh art gallery is located at Andreta on Jaisinghpur  Panchrukhi Palampur road, it is an attraction for tourists to  see the paintings of  great artist Shri Shobha Singh. 

The people of Kangra are very beautiful and the Kangri dialect is very charming and keeps the power to touch hearts.

Palampur , Dharamshala and Meclodgunj are very beautiful locations which visitors always enjoy.

The valley has tea gardens in Palampur, Baijnath and Kangra and  Kangra tea is famous from a very long time. The Kangra fort is also a centre of attraction for tourists being a historic preservation.

The Kangra is also rich in its art and culture, the Kangra paintings are very famous. Dharamshala is  also a winter capital of Himachal Pradesh. The Tibetan Government in exile is also functioning from Mclodganj. The valley is worth seeing.

The Chamba Valley, " The Beautiful Valley, The Pride Himachal Pradesh., "

 The Chamba valley is having numbers of panoramic landscapes which adds to the beauty of this valley. The Chamba valley is also known as Ravi Valley. The Chamba town is situated on the banks of  Ravi river.

The ancient capital of Chamba was at Bharmaur "Raja Sahil Verman had shifted the capital to Chamba on the special request of his daughter Champavati. The name "Chamba "  of this district is also kept on her name.

This valley is surrounded by Jammu & Kashmir in North -West, area of Ladakh Union Territory and Lahaul and Batao Banghal area of Himachal Pradesh in North- East and East and in the South -East and South by district Kangra of Himachal Pradesh and Gurdaspur district of Punjab.

The valley has numbers of beautiful places which are important from tourism point of view. Some places where tourists used to enjoy are Khajjiar Lake, Kalatop wildlife Sanctuary, Chamunda Devi temple, Chamera dam on Ravi river, Manimahesh Lake on Kailash peak in Pir- Panjal range of Himalayas, Bhuri Singh Museum which was inaugurated on  24th September 1908 , Akhand Chandi Palace, Champavati temple, Lakshmi Narayan temple and Rang Mehal  which was built by Raja Umed Singh during 18 th century.

The Chamba is famous for its art, craft and it's culture, the paintings, Chamba rumaal, Chamba Chapal and other traditional handicrafts.

The fields in the mountains are stepped terraces which look beautiful, the valley is famous for herbs and flowers.

The fields are arranged in such a way that peddy fields are at lower level where as maize, wheat, barley and other cereals on higher levels.

Northern mountains of the valley are covered with forests where as Southern mountains are quite bare.

The important towns in the valley are Bharmaur, Banikhet, Dalhousie, Khajjiar,  Kakira and Chamba. The people of Chamba valley are very beautiful, honest and hardworking. The valley is very much rich in cultural heritage.

The Pangi Valley , "A remote Valley downstream of Udaipur extending along the Chenab river. "

 Downstream of Lahaul valley the Pangi valley extends along the Chenab river. The Pangi valley is adjoining to the Chamba valley. The Chenab cuts through the Pir -panjal and off shoots of the main Himalayan range and thus forms this remotest valley of the Western Himalayas.

The Pangi is the tehsil of Chamba district  , it is a rugged and undeveloped tribal area.  Pangi is about 70 Km from Chamba.
